Ralf Schumacher insists that even his brother Michael Schumacher required time to turn Ferrari’s fortunes around.

Ralf Schumacher, in his analysis for Sky, suggests that Ferrari had a chance to compete for second place in the constructors’ championship due to weaknesses in Mercedes’ performance, but they had a disappointing weekend at the F1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Schumacher acknowledges that Ferrari has always been a challenging team, and it will take time for the new team principal, Fred Vasseur, to make significant changes. He compares this situation to the time it took for his brother Michael, Ross Brawn, and Jean Todt to transform Ferrari.
Although Ferrari has faced technical issues and mishaps in recent years, they are the only team, apart from Red Bull, to have won a grand prix this year through Carlos Sainz. Schumacher believes that Mercedes is still not in a stable position, and Toto Wolff expressed his concerns after the race in Brazil.
Schumacher praises Max Verstappen’s performance, highlighting his ability to race flawlessly and write his own history. However, he cautions against constantly comparing Verstappen to his brother or Ayrton Senna, as they were exceptional in their own time. Lando Norris is recognized as a strong driver and a contender, but Schumacher mentions that he tends to make too many mistakes in qualifying, similar to Charles Leclerc. However, Norris excels in the race itself and is considered a promising talent.
Aston Martin had a strong performance in Brazil, with both drivers, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. Despite some initial difficulties during the season, the team has managed to improve their performance.
